Buhari: Tinubu will continue momentum of my administration

Telescope.ng gathered that while speaking at the Presidential Fleet Review in Lagos, Buhari commended the military’s combat readiness and praised Tinubu’s support for the Nigerian Navy.
As possibly his last Presidential Fleet Review, Buhari expressed satisfaction with the naval assets on display and highlighted the nation’s pride in the navy’s accomplishments during his eight-year tenure.
He expressed his belief that Tinubu’s administration would provide necessary support to the navy and maintain the positive trajectory.
Buhari extended his best wishes to the navy for safeguarding Nigeria’s maritime domain and economic prosperity.
He hoped that under Tinubu’s leadership, the navy would continue acquiring assets, expanding shipbuilding for exports, promoting indigenous production, combating piracy, and addressing crude oil theft in the maritime domain.
The President commended the significant reduction in piracy and Nigeria’s removal from the piracy-prone countries list.
He applauded the navy’s use of technology in securing the maritime domain and highlighted the successful prosecution of MT HEROIC IDUN for unauthorized crude oil loading.
Buhari recognized the diverse ships and helicopters on display, symbolizing the nation’s maritime power and readiness to fulfill the navy’s constitutional roles.
He praised the impressive combat displays by elements of the Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service and emphasized the importance of dominating Nigeria’s maritime environment for socio-economic development.
As he prepares to leave office on May 29, President Buhari conveyed his best wishes and urged the navy to continue its important work in protecting Nigeria’s resources.
