Tinubu is financial wizard Nigeria needs now, Ben Bruce

A former senator from Bayelsa state, Ben Bruce has described Bola Tinubu as the first president of Nigeria with a financial background who has the ability to confront the deep-rooted issues plaguing the nation’s business sector.

Telescope.ng reports that in a tweet made on his Twitter page to taunt some fraudulent businessmen, Bruce said that their days of exploiting loopholes and engaging in illicit activities were numbered.

He said: “Gone are the times when they could effortlessly access the corridors of power, seeking import duty exemptions, tax waivers, unjustifiable court claims, and dubious business deals under the cover of darkness. The era of illegitimate practices is coming to an end.

“Let me tell our 419 businessmen some hard truths. Your days of going to the villa at night to get import duty exemptions, tax waivers, fraudulent judgement claims and bogus business deals are over. Focus on legitimate business deals. Tinubu will not pick a winner like past Presidents. This time you will have to earn your position in the Nigerian Economy.”
