Umahi: El-Rufai to hold key position in Tinubu's government, asserts loyalty rewarded

During an interview on Arise Television, David Umahi, former governor of Ebonyi state, expressed his belief that Nasir el-Rufai, the immediate past governor of Kaduna, will play a significant role in President Bola Tinubu’s government.

Telescope.ng gathered that Umahi, who is the senator-elect of the All Progressives Congress (APC), responded to questions regarding whether Tinubu would distance himself from el-Rufai, who had made remarks about Muslims leading the country.

Umahi stated that Tinubu values loyalty and would not abandon those who supported him during the elections.

He emphasized that el-Rufai would have a major role in Tinubu’s administration, as Tinubu has a history of rewarding faithfulness and diligence.

While speaking from his own perspective, Umahi highlighted Tinubu’s character and reassured the public about el-Rufai’s significance in the government.
