President Muhammadu Buhari will confer the prestigious Commander of the Order of Niger (CON) on HRH Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama, Tegbosun III, the Olowu of Kuta.

The investiture ceremony, scheduled for Sunday, May 28, 2023, in Abuja, acknowledges Olowu Kuta’s unwavering support for the military and his consistent efforts to encourage Nigerians to rally behind the Nigerian Army.

As the traditional ruler of Osun State for the past decade, Olowu has played an instrumental role in bolstering military morale and fostering a sense of unity among the people.

His exceptional dedication has earned him accolades, including the distinction of Life Patron from the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Osun State, as well as recognition from other esteemed organizations.

The Olowu in council expresses profound gratitude to President Buhari for recognizing their revered traditional ruler with this national honour.

They firmly believe that history will look favorably upon the former army general, who has seamlessly transitioned into a democratic leader hailing from Daura.
