Tinubu Hails El-Rufai’s contributions to governance on 65th birthday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, on his 65th birthday, commending his contributions to governance, democracy, and national development.

In a statement released on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described El-Rufai as a dedicated administrator, scholar, and politician whose brilliance and resourcefulness have left a lasting impact on the nation.

The President highlighted El-Rufai’s significant roles in Nigeria’s political landscape, including his tenure as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from 2003 to 2007, where he led major reforms, and his two-term leadership as Governor of Kaduna State.

Tinubu also acknowledged El-Rufai’s instrumental role in the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his contributions to the party’s victories in the 2015, 2019, and 2023 elections.

The President praised El-Rufai’s commitment to democracy, mentorship of younger generations, and dedication to public service, wishing him good health and continued strength in his service to the nation.
