Breaking: Kano governor presents appointment letter to Sanusi as Emir
Governor Abba Yusuf has officially presented Muhammadu Sanusi II with the letter of appointment as the 16th Emir of Kano.
The mini-durbar ceremony occurred at the Africa House of the Kano State Government House on Friday, May 24.
The presentation followed a Federal High Court in Kano issuing an injunction to halt the action.
Sanusi, the 14th Emir of Kano, has returned to the throne after a four-year hiatus, following the signing of the Kano State Emirates Councils (Repeal) Bill 2024 by Governor Yusuf.
