The petition that aimed to nullify President Tinubu’s election due to alleged non-compliance with the electronic transmission of election results has been rejected.

This petition, consisting of 35 grounds, was filed by Chris Uche, SAN, Atiku’s lead counsel, who contested the tribunal’s verdict regarding electronic result transmission, Tinubu’s eligibility for the election, Federal Capital Territory votes, and other issues.

He appealed to the Supreme Court to overturn the lower court’s judgment.

Supreme Court in its ruling on Thursday stated that:

1. When IREV fails, it does not stop the collation of results.

2. The non-function of IREV does not reduce voters’ confidence.

On these grounds, Justice Okoro said the application is hereby dismissed and refused.
