2023 presidency: Tinubu support groups set to merge

More than 5000 Tinubu Support Groups (TSG) are to merge into Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Group (TSICG), National Coordinator of the TSG James Faleke hinted yesterday.
Telescope.ng reports that he said the merger became necessary to boost the campaign efforts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.
Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives (Ikeja Federal Constituency), said the groups have resolved to set up coordinating committees in the various geo-political zones to facilitate the merger.
The mandate of the committees, according to him, will be to review membership of the various groups for strategic purposes.
He said: “The TSICG’s main target is grassroots mobilisation and coordination with structures aimed at strengthening the campaign support base from the States through Local Governments, Wards and Polling units.
