2023: Jonathan’s aide Omokri warns PDP as 12 APC governors reportedly sign Tinubu’s presidential form
The leading presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has reportedly secured the signatures of 12 governors of the party in his quest to become the standard-bearers of the APC.
Telescope reports that the former governor of Lagos state submitted his nomination form in Abuja on Wednesday, May 11, after fulfilling all requirements.
In a tweet on his official handle @renoomokri, a former special assistant to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri said that 12 sitting governors of APC signed Tinubu’s presidential nomination form.

Omokri, who commended the development, however, warned his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against fielding a weak candidate.
He said that Tinubu would become Nigeria’s next president if PDP settles for a less popular candidate ahead of the forthcoming general election.
He tweeted: “12 sitting governors of APC signed Tinubu’s presidential nomination form. Quite impressive. Quite impressive indeed. I hope PDP is watching. Note that our Presidential primaries will hold 2 days BEFORE the APC hold theirs. If we pick the wrong candidate, Tinubu will win!”
