2023: Real battle begins as APC closes sales of nomination forms

Ahead of its presidential primary scheduled to hold on May 30, the All Progressives Congress (APC) said it has made N2.58billion from sales of the presidential nomination and expression of interest forms alone for the 2023 election.

Telescope.ng reports that the amount was realised from 27 aspirants, one of whom is a female who paid 30 million and an under 40 years who parted with 50% of the required sum of N100million.

The waivers were meant to encourage women, youths and people with disabilities.

It was gathered that the sale of forms ended by 11.59pm on Tuesday, May 10, while deadline for submission is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11.

The number of aspirants for governorship, National Assembly and state Assemblies positions is yet to be ascertained.
