NCC boss Maida highlights Nigeria’s leadership in the global digital space.

The Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida, has revealed that Nigeria ranks as a leading force in the global digital space.
Speaking at a recent stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja, Dr. Maida disclosed that Nigeria has 132 million internet connections, making it a key player among the five billion internet users worldwide.
He emphasised the country’s significant role in the digital landscape and noted that Nigeria is now ranked among the top internet users globally.
Dr. Maida also reaffirmed the NCC’s unwavering commitment to delivering world-class telecommunications services across Nigeria.
He further pointed out that Nigerians spend an average of four hours and 20 minutes on social media daily, far exceeding the global average, which underscores the deep integration of digital platforms into the lives of Nigerians.
