BREAKING: APC’s Ododo wins Kogi gov poll with 446,237

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Ododo has won the Kogi state governorship election.

Ododo defeated his main challengers, Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party and the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Dino Melaye

The APC candidate secured 446,237 votes defeating Ajaka who trailed behind with 259, 052 votes.

Ododo was declared winner by the INEC Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Professor Johnson around 10:20pm.

According to the result announced by INEC, Ododo won in 12 local government areas of the state.

While Ajaka won eight local government, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Leke Abejide won one local government.
